That was a helluva show last night! Songs played from Sap, Facelift, Dirt, Jar Of Flies, Three Lgged Dog and Black Gives Way To Blue. Well worth the 4 hour roundtrip drive. The sound itself was perfect, the band was tight and the vocal harmonies were very good! William and Jerry singing seperately was also impressive.

I saw AIC in December of 1992 and again twice in the summer of 1993. So its been a long time since seeing them, but they did an incredible concert last night. Imagine Louisville KY getting a show like that. The Palace Theatre was gorgeous, too.

I will forever miss Layne deeply and sorely, but the band continues to be relevant and they really tore it up last night. Very well done and I recommend any fans to go see them live. You will not be disappointed. I would go again without hesitation!

Anyone else here go last night?

No I did not make that show.

I have seen AIC with the current members twice already though, but not since the new album came out.

I am going tomorrow night to the show in Atlanta though.

I noticed on some of the earlier setlist they were playing Love Hate Love.....

Did you hear that? I REALLY want to thear that song. It is probably my fav song i've not heard them play or heard Jerry solo play that i still really want to hear

Did you see the show in 2007 where they played with VR at the Tabernacle?

I was living in Norcross at the time and wanted to go, but couldn't afford it as I was at the poorest point I've ever been. Made it to the Black Crowes at Chastain though !

From Facelift, only It Ain't Like That and Man In A Box were played. MIAB was in the encore. Very pleased that majority of songs were from previous albums vs. the new one.

You will absolutely get off at the concert! Great energy, the Louisville crowd was very good. William does good filling in a big role and the band and music was well received. It was a very emotional mement for me when Nutshell was played. I met Layne and the band in December of 1992 and have my autographed ticket framed to this day. I will forever miss Layne, but the band does indeed live on and still "has it"!

I saw them when they came through headlining at the tabernacle then i saw them open up for Velvet Revolver when they played Lakewood.

It is funny you mention that black crowes gig. I actually missed that one. A buddy had a free ticket for me but i had some things going on that day i could not get out of. :(

Tonight should be a good night no matter what they play :D

Last night was great.William seemed way more sure of himself then he has the past two times i've seen them. His voice was always there, but he seemed to have even better stage precesne.

Great show. Played a TON off of dirt. Literally 2/3 of dirt was played (no down in a hole though :( )

Anyone going to see these guys will be very happy.

They even teased and did the first part of Zeps Dazed & Confused. Jerry just kind of started doing it half joking and mike inez joined in next thing you know sean was drumming it and by the time the words came up william nailed it. The guy is an impressive singer.

His parents and a ton of his friends were in the crowd tonight.

I'm glad you had a great time there! I have a feeling that Down In A Hole stirs up too much for Jerry, Mike and Sean and they don't play it. Just a guess, not fact. Nutshell was enough to get my emotions going, hearing Down In A Hole would totally make me a mess, but would like to hear it live.

    That could be.
I have seen jerry solo 3 times (with Wiliam) and now this AIC w/ William 3 times, and one of the best moments of all of those shows was back in 2002. it was spring and it was Jerry's first show since Layne had passed away. If it wasn’t his first it was like his second anyway it was close.

It was a little festival in charlotte he signed on to play and he didn’t say much about layne or really didn’t talk much the entire show. But he said lets play a couple songs and make sure he can hear you sing along with me (not direct quote but something to that effect)

He played Man in the Box and then Down in a Hole and I don’t think Jerry sang much the crowd drowned him out. Still one of the most memorable concert experiences I’ve ever had.

  • I'm headed to their second concert in Atlanta. I hope the setlist is basically identical to the Kentucky show - what an awesome setlist.
