So a reworking of this song could potentially be on the new record. It's an old Mighty Joe Young/STP demo called Fast As I Can, which happens to be the title of one of the songs on the new record. They might have just kept the title though...
  • From Spin magazine:
The new album, due in June, is classic STP. Its 12 tracks have the band's signature blend of tuneful melodies and rock guitar crunch, psychedelic solos and impressive crooning courtesy of Scott Weiland, who looked healthy and dapper in a snazzy suit coat. A few hard-hitting tracks featured tuneful, Beatles-esque songwriting, and a pair of songs on the album's second half slowed the tempo, a la "Sour Girl," with acoustic guitar and strong lead vocals from Weiland.

So nice to see a reunion album that doesn't have one song title regarding how they are back and ready to move on or claim what was once theirs.

    Those are pretty lame
“I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version.”

Honestly, those song titles sound retarded, for the most part. At least in the past the songs had relatively normal names, despite some having nonsense lyrics.
    Thanks EPOTTSIII!

    :)

Yes, if we're counting Creed that is exactly what i meant.

I like most of the song names on the new STP one. The majority of them are creative atleast.

Early reviews look pretty promising to be fair.
  • New Stone Temple Pilots album will be self titled, coming May 25th:

    Ughhh :|

Please disregard my statements from earlier in this thread. Self Tilted album after a long hiatus is pretty much the same thing as coming "Full Circle"
