Yup! I thought their new album was going to be EROS, but they are calling it Diamond Eyes. Wonder why?!?! :?
  • I heard somewhere that they actually scrapped the Eros sessions & started from scratch after Chi's accident

Deftones? Easily one of the most creative and unique guitar music of the last 2 decades!

Can't wait to see them in June at festivals!

  • 2 be honest? Horrible. I loved Around The Fur and White Pony - Passenger simply is an amazing song (including an amazing singer ;)). But since that - what went wrong with them????? I've seen them live in 06 right before Korn and Tool - and they sucked! Where's that once good-looking and not so bad singer gone? They were stoned as hell (nothing against that in particular) and unable to play good music! NEVER again. My BF once even left their show after the opening act. Too sad I wasn't there as it was the last chance .- the opening act was A Perfect Circle

Yeah, unfortunately Josh Freese announced that he will be touring no more - so only Tool and maybe Puscifer left to maybe see MJK again :( APC would certainly have been special.

Wow. I guess out of respect for Chi. I wish Chi gets better regardless if he gets back to the band or not. So sad :(

I totally agree with you. I've seen them a bunch of times and chino gives all his energy to the crowd. In the past he had his problems but he's lost weight and seemed to be hitting his notes and screams way better. I hope the tour soon besides the festival gigs.

Which festivals are u going to see them in?

I think they shelved "Eros" as opposed to scrapping it.

I read they will release that one some day but they wanted to put that aside while Chi is MIA and put out an album that felt more immediate. Because of the new guitarist and all

Looking forward to them both. And hopefully to Chi coming around at some point

I only saw them only once at their only show in Hungary (a Vienna joint show with Korn I got tickets to was cancelled because of Jonathan Davis's illness) and they were brilliant and that was the hottest place they had ever played until then, it was on a very hot day in a concrete venue and everyone was sweating like in a sauna for 2 long hours:D but they put their hearts and balls into it so the whole place went nuts and remain loud and energetic despite the shitty circumstances!

I am going to see them in Austria at my favourite festival ever with some other favourites of mine!

First 2 records are amazing. I was obsessed with these guys from 97-99. Their 98 Dallas show is still in my top 5 ever.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

Give the other albums one more chance...they are deeper and more alternative metal than nu metal, haven't grown on me fast but patience was worthwhile and paid off well. Deftones catalogue is fuckin impressive imho.

I'd have to agree. Saturday Night Wrists I think is their weakest, but I still like it because it's Deftones.
