A tongue in cheek observation of my southern baptist "education"

A DICHOTOMY OF COLOR

Black and white, you think?
No, a more lurking subtle rationale

They are orange and red deemed so
By the self-imposed powers that (think they) be
The orange have supposed black hearts
therefore not to be trusted
The red have the rosy red hearts
therfore deserved of the imagined altruism they rouse

But what thery do not realize is that
those rosy red hearts inspire
Deep crimson, deep desire.

So to my preacher and his flock
I warn that Valentines Day is just as sinister as Haloween
To my preacher and his flock, I ask
Which of these pagan celebrations
results in more tail?
fuck 'em if they can't take a joke

"what a long, strange trip it's been"
