goodbye to memories

the memory of yesterday
softly fades, into the haze
of foggy days, and rainy nights
and you and I will never be
like everything we said we’d be
oh memories
dead to both you and me

so pour another glass
this one will be on me
as I drink to failure
don’t plead to me
I know you love to watch me bleed
oh memories
I’ll make you dead to me

the time it seems to slip away
so fast as I grow so cold today
no longer where the sun will shine
and all the dreams will die with me
as I feed the demon his dark drink
oh memories
I’ll drink to thee

as time goes on
I feel you less
as I taste you’re cold hard Irish breath
and feel you turn my pain to flesh
I give you life
oh memories
I’ll take you with me
Peace, Love.

Wolf, Sounds like you have started to heal just a little from the crying on the cristmas tree days. Maybe??

    You write beautifully in despair.
My heart anticipates your happiness that is when I will shed a tear, a tear of joy shared.
