New White Stripes

Anyone else stoked about the new White Stripes live cd/dvd/vinyl? I've got their "Under the Blackpool Lights" but "Under the Great Northern Lights" is too great a concept to pass up. If you don't know, it's a film documentary of their Icky Thump tour in Canada, and they play in a bunch of small venues. It's gotten some ridiculously glowing reviews.

By the way, any news on an actual new White Stripes studio album?? Has Meg retired or what??

    I can't wait!!! Love The White Stripes and I've been waiting to see this film. I'm not going to get the box set; just the CD, DVD, and book. The vinyl will have to wait.

    I haven't heard anything about the new album. I know Jack White said last year it may be coming out this year. But when they do announce when it comes out, I'll be in the music store when it opens to get the album.

    when do the movie/cd/book come out?

    hadnt heard the stripes had a new record in mix. great news!

    i had heard the dead weather has a release in the next couple months.

    Either March 9th or 16th. I'm not sure which date because the Hendrix reissues are either coming out before or after the White Stripes.

    Hell ya, pre-ordered the boxset to get the exclusive Rob Jones slipmat in early December before the price increase in 2010. Should be a helluva set! Limited 7" colored vinyl even..... good stuff!

    I love me some White Stripes for $239.00 for the box set is a bit rich for my blood. I just can't decide if I want to get the vinyl, cd, or dvd. I'm leaning towards the vinyl.

    If you are talking about the box set I read somewhere they would only be selling the amount pre-ordered(I could be wrong). For the individual things I don't know. I can't wait to get mine though.

    And please let there be a new white stripes this year.

    Bought both the CD and movie when it came out on Tuesday after my first class. Listened to the CD Tuesday and loved it. Watched the movie last night and was just blown away by it. One of the best music documentaries I've seen. I'm going to have to watch it again today!
