I haven't listened to the old mix of Ten since the reissue and I was wondering if anyone else has been like that....or conversely if anyone doesn't dig the remix and is sticking with the old one till death do you part. One of these days I have to check out the remastered disc of the old mix. I haven't touched it once since buying the reissue.

I hear ya. I personally don't care for the new mix of Jeremy...especially toward the end where the repeated line "Spoke in..." is louder in the mix than I'd like. But otherwise crystal clear guitars on stuff like Garden and Release just sound perfect. Like JohnnySitar said, "a sonic re-birth" of the album.

just started up the Remix vinyl....Once jumps out of the speakers. Jeff's bass sounds really defined. great guitars.....eddie sounds great. McCready solo now.....great fucking song.

Even Flow is crunchy & sounds so tight. Stone's riff is simply awesome. I don't understand how people use this song as their "Piss Song".....Krusen's drums sound great....nice echo on the vocals.

such an amazing song.
and that solo.....damn.
Why Go up next and i'm loving it.
really.
i think i re-discovered the song when the opened their set at ACL with it. it blew me away. this version sounds tight...hearing some rhythm guitar elements that i hadn't noticed before.
Black is well....Black.
a truly beautiful song no matter how you mix it. but i'm hearing new things for some reason....
could it be that i haven't listened to this in awhile? yes.
could it be the Bully Porter? Maybe.
the piano seems to jump out & the guitars seem crisper.
did i mention that this is a beautiful song?
damn...Eddie can flat out SING. holy shit.
Jeremy.
sounds more clear as well.
love when the guitars really kick in.
great backing vocals....
sounds a little different to me, but still sounds really nice.
Oceans......ahhhh
love this song.
hearing the electric creep in...
stronger vocal exit in my opinion...
i'll save the rest for tomorrow. fun to re-visit this record.

I love raw versions of great songs that lack production...
maybe I'm alone, but saying that one song is "worse" than another because of its mix?
I wholeheartedly disagree.......
it is still SEALED, never opened it, PM me if Interested
Yeah I REALLY love the sound of EVEN FLOW on the Re-Mix
it wasn't the production, it was the mix. there were certain points in certain songs where Brendan brought up a certain guitar, or a drum fill, or whatever. it just added more to an already fabulous song. It made us hear what the band intended to hear.
