I know, never. But how cool would it be if SNL offered 20 tickets to the 10C to be used in a contest and the TEN Club could run a banner ad on the website for SNL in a cross promotion? That would be kewl!

Getting Saturday Night Live Tickets in Advance:
Every August, you can submit your request for Saturday Night Live Tickets via email. Those who are selected for tickets will recieve an email confirmation and two tickets to either a live taping or a dress rehearsal.
Getting Standby Saturday Night Live Tickets:
For stand-by tickets, arrive by 7 a.m. on the morning of the taping under the "NBC Studios" marquee on the 50th St. side of 30 Rockefeller Plaza. Standby tickets are available for either the 8 pm dress rehearsal or the 11:30 pm live show. Only one ticket will be issued per person. Please note that a stand-by ticket does not guarantee admission.
What to Know About Saturday Night Live Tickets:
You must be at least 16 to attend the Saturday Night Live show
Check the Saturday Night Live website to be sure they're airing a new episode on a given date before you plan to wait for stand-by tickets.
Bring a sweater or jacket if you're attending a Saturday Night Live Taping -- they keep the studios pumped full of refrigerated air.
Be aware that the weather and the guest host on Saturday Night Live play a big role in the competitiveness for getting standby tickets.

    GOOD LUCK! :D
  • At 7am the day of taping you have to be outside 50 rock plaza and you MIGHT recieve free standby tickets. If your lucky they can be used for the 8pm dress rehearsal or the 11:30 live taping, but no guarantees.

  • Here's another tip- but it is really a random chance thing. I did the NBC studio tour a couple of years ago. It was crap, apart from the following:

On the Thursday (morning on the day I went), the SNL guests come in to rehearse. If you get lucky, when the studio tour gets to the SNL stage the guests may be there doing their rehearsal. When I was there, it just happened to coincide with this, and I saw Coldplay rehearsing, and Michael Hamm (I think that's his name- from Mad Men).

It would be hilarious if the Rock was inundated with 10C-ers!

That was the only good thing I have to say about the studio tour! Don't waste your money, if you're ever tempted.
If I knew then, would I know now?

  • yes, I believe they're free but the point is it's hard to get tickets. Maybe as a perk to members (they do plenty of perks for us already, I know) but do some type of contest as a cross-promotion in exchange for ad time or something. Just so the hardcores on this board would have a legit chance of going.

SNL tickets are some of the toughest " gets " out there , ..... period .
It is an extremely small studio,....limited seats available for every show .

Waiting in the line from the night before doesnt even insure that youll get in to either the live broadcast , or the rehearsal performance. ( They usually do 2 shows, the first being a rehearsal where they may fine tune the show by adding / removing certain skits or shorts )

It still would be cool to see PJ play whatever songs they felt like in rehearsal ,
but again theres no guarantee that youll get inside for either of the shows .

It would be highly unlikely that NBC would accomodate the 10C for such an event unfortunately.
For the ones who had a notion, a notion deep inside
