  • Yeah, can't wait to see it. The book was fantastic and I can't wait to see how Scorsese unfolds his ode to Mr. Alfred Hitchcock.

I thought it was just "ok".

    Predictable ending IMO.

I dunno, I never read the book but I was expecting something more...

I didn't really like it. The ending was better than I expected though.

I was really excited to see this movie. The Departed is one of my favorite movies and I was eager to see Scorsese carry forward that quality of story telling. While the movie itself was good, I kind of found the ending underwhelming. I don't really know why. I just know that I didn't feel terribly involved with the reveal for some reason. :(

    ***Spoiler Alert***

The part when he found his kids...at least I felt something then. I think the horror of it felt real...reminded me of Andrea Yates. I like stories about people and that was the only part that really let me see the characters a bit. Didn't care for the rest. The idea that this is what happened to him because of some traumatic experiences didn't make sense. Apparently a psychiatrist consulted on the film...but yeah...didn't make sense :P
