    Sounds reasonable. For instance, if he was "born" to be like man, he should had lusted after women and I don't recall any account of him doing so, but he sure had lots of male friends. I'm just saying.

    A couple of points:

    1) If i'm gay... I'm gonna identify with gay people. Similarly, if I'm a socialist... I'm going to identify with other socialists. I may even try to rationalize why my heroes or other historical figures that I admire are like me... they have the same ideals, social constructs, hell... even sexuality... that I do.

    2) does this mean all buddhist monks are gay, too? Point being; celibacy does not equal homosexuality... either today or 2000 years ago. Also, there are some people who really just are not sexual people (however ODD that may seem to some of us, including me). This may be due to the socio-sexual imprint not being formed correctly, chemical imbalance, etc.

    It is easy to analyze this, from a psychological perspective, as reality-tunnel myopia.

    Or maybe he is right? Who knows...
    Everything not forbidden is compulsory and eveything not compulsory is forbidden. You are free... free to do what the government says you can do.
