    Saw them a few times in concert in the mid 80s ... Ritchie Blackmore was killer, but, a bit douchey on stage, he didn't really want to be there.

    Eventually, he left. Pretty sure they are still playing with Steve Morse on lead ... not the same.

    Ritchie Blackmore is probably my favorite guitarist from that era (note, I didn't say the best, but, my favorite) ... I thought Rainbow was a fantastic meld of he and Ronnie James Dio.

    As for Deep Purple ... Highway Star, the greatest driving song ever created.
