I'd never heard of this. It's called "Victory Through Air Power" and was based on a popular book written after Pearl Harbor. How crazy. I remember th Loony Tunes cartoons but I never saw this. Too cool.

I discovered Disney made several 8 minute war propaganda films while watching old Pluto cartoons with my daughter. They are all over Youtube.

Victory Through Air Power is actually really cool, and the animation in it is great. You can acutally get the movie on DVD as part of the Disney Classics: The War Years Box Set.

There is also a Donald Duck cartoon where he wakes up and in Nazi Germany.

You don't?? I guess cool wasn't the best word choice, I just found it intriguing. That's a bigger word than I'm used to using. ;)

There was also a comic-book story of Donald Duck fooling around with atomic bombs....for some strange reason, it's never been reprinted. :?
All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.
  • I have the whole collection of these from the "Disney Vault" DVD series. Really interesting stuff and VERY politically incorrect too. I'm glad Disney didn't puss out and hide this stuff from everyone. Now if we can just get "Song of the South" on DVD. It's called history people watch it, discuss it, agree, disagree and learn from it—don't censor it.
