Why they WILL play Just Breathe on SNL

1) Because it's a good song
2) Because it's the band's current single
3) Because the song has been their most successful second single pretty much ever
4) Because chicks dig it
5) Because Ed just got engaged, and his chick digs it

Alot of folks on here said Just Breathe wouldn't be successful. It is. Now, it's peaking and losing some momentum, I think this SNL performance will give it a bump.


My bets are on the following:

2 songs on SNL - Just Breathe and Amongst the Waves

3 songs on SNL - The Fixer, Just Breathe and Amongst the Waves

I'd lean towards the 3 song set in odds because I think PJ would like something upbeat (The Fixer), a ballad (Just Breathe) and something mid-tempo (Amongst the Waves).

the next question is what else?

if it's only 2 songs I suppose it will be the next single, I would recomend unthought known. why? because I've noticed many times when I play the record at parties and such with non pj fans that this is the song that gets everyone's attention and people really like it. it's that simple.

anyway like someone else said: play whatever the f u want

I would bet everything I have that they play Just Breathe. It's their current single and it's doing well, so they'd be nuts not to play it. After that, they have a lot of options. I would love to see "Force of Nature" but I am cool with whatever else off Backspacer that they choose.
