About the Program

Friends of Howard Zinn gathered at Busboys and Poets in Washington, DC to pay tribute to the historian and political activist who died on January 27, 2010. The speakers include Ralph Nader, Marian Wright Edelman, Amy Goodman, Dave Zirin, Bernice Johnson Reagon, Phyllis Bennis, Geoffrey Millard, Richard Rubenstein, and Busboys and Poets' owner Andy Shallal. The program also includes music by Bernice Johnson Reagon and Emma's Revolution, readings from Howard Zinn's books.

    Thanks for posting this. Unfortunately I don't have have CSPAN-2. In fact I don't even know what it is. :oops:
  • I don't have CSPAN-2, either, but they have a YouTube tab on their site. I'm not familiar enough with their program to know if most of their content reaches the web, but if they post the segment after it airs, I'll try to add the link to this thread. :)

    Btw, I'm not sure that I know what it is, either. ;) I believe it's a cable TV network (channel), but as I don't have cable, I'm not sure that I've ever watched it!
