so i was sitting in my office talking to a co-worker about a possible meet up for bowling after work when we were interrupted by a loud BOOM. i remember thinking a semi tire must have blown out because our office is in the middle of an industrial area. then the second boom went off followed by a cocking sound. after more booms and noticing people jumping to the ground i was like..hmmm. yea we're getting shot at. i peeked my head out my window to see a dude in all black with a shotgun unloading into a car parked 20 ft from my office door. then he casually trotted off. it was pretty nuts. i wasn't scared just more shocked i guess. kind of laughing like "is this really happening".
i ran over to the main office and kept everyone inside while someone called the cops. thank god no one was hurt but if the shooter would have missed the car we have very thin walls and someone could have been killed. my buddy was smoking a cig right by the car and nearly shit himself.
we think it was some baby momma drama or something and hopefully not a crazy ex employee. either way it was pretty crazy. i didn't feel safe last night at home. i used to keep a gun at home due to my old roommate being held up at gunpoint in our parking lot but the girl i was seeing wouldn't sleep in the same room as one so i put it in a safe at my dad's. think i might go get it now...

it was too shocking to be scary at the time. looking back now it's creeping me out. i feel bad for a lot of the workers that are scared now. it sucks. morale is low

It's good that no one was hurt but here's hoping he doesn't come back :?

Has security been stepped up at all?

yesterday around 4. car was empty. it seems clear it was just a message being sent with no intent of hurting anyone.
we're just happy it ended with no injuries

shhhhhhhhh there are some people on here that don't thing gun's should be kept or legal :shh:

are you referring to me and the rest of us that think that guns should be kept in a safe?? nobody in that other thread said guns should be taken away or illegal...i'm not going to rehash my opinions here, i stated them plainly enough in the other gun thread..

i am glad that the original poster is safe and that nobody got hurt...

How frightening. I am like you, at the time of incidents like that, I tend to act and not get afraid, its after that I freak out. I could save an entire building of people, rescue kids from pools, etc. and not think about it at all, just act, but afterwards, I shake real bad.
I am glad everyone is okay. The owner of the car likely knows who did it.
    Save room for dessert!
