Target is bad, but Wal-Mart is good? Get your chinese goods heeeee-ah!!

Walmart is infesting this entire country. It's putting mom and pop out of business. It's preventing small business owners from prospering. Walmart is evil. In smaller communities... it's pure.... evil. Fuck Live Nation. I'm not going to see anything at Live Nation venues, even Pearl Jam.

btw- whos got some good WalMart jokes?
PM me if they are too dirty to post in the pit...i need a good chuckle

    +1.

I might, MIGHT shop at Wal Mart once a year. Yet without my continued support they seem to remain the top retailer in the US. If I have to go to Wal-Mart to buy PJ tix, so be it.

(I won't cause of this site..... and the kind souls on it who sell their extra tix for face)

Well, it's not being pissed... it's about being cognisant of what goes on in the world.

Agree. This may just be the young idealist in me speaking, but being aware of the issue and having a "there's nothing you can do about it" attitude is worse than being oblivious to the issue.

    I'm down.

Cheap Products on the backbone of cheap labor. Sounds like a winner to me.

See I get that Wal Mart is the big evil corporation destroying small business, but how is selling tickets related?

I don't think I have ever bought tickets for a concert at any small business, other than a Ticketmaster/Live Nation vendor. And honestly I think that any vendors selling tickets to Ticketmaster/Live Nation event probably make next to nothing on the ticket.

So ya saying I can purchase Live Nation ticket's to any event in the world @ my local 24 hour Walmart store @ the Dartmouth Crossing? Cool! Instead of paying for shipping costs & paying for printing out ticket's on a sheet of paper, I get to purchase the original ticket @ the store anytime of the day. There isn't many Live Nation show's here in Nova Scotia, but the fact I can buy concert & sporting event ticket's for outside/inside Nova Scotia events there while i'm shopping for Gummy Bears & Bluray movies, is a treat.

Live Nation is a giant corporation too which has a huge market share of the concert business, and by merging with Ticketmaster is now a partner with a ticketing monopoly. At that point, why not add Walmart? It's not like they're trying to save-face anyway.

PJ has a choice to go with another promoter, which would allow them to still access arenas and those venues would probably still use TM, but would send a message to LN that they don't like their practices - unless they don't mind their practices, in which case, they'll still use LN.
ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you. :)

I wonder if they will merge the TM and LN ticketing systems into one?
