annoy me a bit. That sort of things should not happen ANYWHERE.
Nevermind that, what a truly horrible thing to happen. These sort of news make me ever more sure this world is slowly imploding.

I totally agree. I felt that statement was a little irrelevant.
This is an unbelievable story. How terrible...
But while family and friends mourn, police have acted to remove offensive posts from tribute sites set up on social networking sites after Elliot's death. Some of the posts were violent and explicit, including images of torture and pornography.
This is equally disturbing. What the fuck is wrong with people?

People have always done evil things, it just gets reported more often in this information age.
Well "these days'' and in our past this sort of tragedy will happen and WILL continue to happen unfortunately. What might be the causes of such actions in our schools, prolification of gun and weapons violence on tv, constant wars around the world and basically too many unsupervised children/teenagers in schools today. Parents need to take more responsibility for the care of their children and maybe these kinds of violence will NOT continue.
