Just heard on my local radio station from the DJ that PJ is supposed to play SNL in May and then a 15 date East Coast tour. Just wandering if anybody has heard this? The radio station has mentioned it twice in one week but I'm not sure were he got his info from. I was thinking about giving the station a call next time its mentioned. The station is out of Rochester NY so not sure how reliable this is.

Well that would line up with a lot of the MSG rumors and the rumor about a major US television appearance.....but who knows.

and there was the article a week or two ago that said that a major TV appearance would be announced soon.

They're probably right. The 10c won't let us know until Pearl Jam's name is plastered on the venue with the date and time for all to see. Then about 2-3 weeks later they will "tweet" us and wonder why no one is really surprised they are touring. It will be on every radio station, Rolling Stone, the internet......but us paying members who rely on the fan club to give us info will be on the outside looking in. Sorry for the rant but just kind of annoying that EVERY bit of PJ news is released by other sources first.
He who forgets will be destined to remember.

What's annoying is how people think slamming the 10c is somehow productive

Especially when the 10c has explained many times how/why/and when they announce stuff... the 10c announces stuff once the band/band management tells them that they can... so really your issue is with the band

not sure why people cant understand that this is a business... and stuff can't be officially announced until it's official

I'm also pretty sure that no one will think it's official until the 10c makes it so... so really all those other sources you listed can report all the rumors they want

and lets be honest... do you really rely solely on the 10c for info? if so then how do you know so much about all these other sources that announce stuff before the 10c??

another example where the 10c needs to refund your $20 and say thanks but no thanks

15 dates huh? Besides the local shows that they would promote, how would they know the exact amount for the whole cost? Just seems more rumored than factual. But if it is true, I would guess possibly 3 shows in Boston, 3 in NYC, 2 in Philly, 2 in D.C., 2 in Charlotte, 1 in Atlanta, 2 in Florida....just guessing :?

Maybe we'll get a CT date.
    Shows: 6.27.08 Hartford, CT/5.15.10 Hartford, CT/6.18.2011 Hartford, CT (EV Solo)/10.19.13 Brooklyn/10.25.13 Hartford

  • sounds about right. the only thing i find odd is that usually a concert will go on sale 3 months before the actual show.

but this is the east coast and a strong market for them, so who knows.

my prediction- once those posters are all sold we'll have our news. i think there's 11 left.

  • East coast got their shows in PA and all over in 08'
it's time for a Midwest tour or just play Chicago again : )

That station in Rochester usually has pretty reliable PJ news. Maybe this is true? :)

It's probably true but, in the meantime, shut your whiny traps and wait for official news. Maybe they'll play in my backyard!! Or maybe Stone will pick his nose! I heard they were playing grassroots in trumansburg ny, the snl appearance lines right up with that.

Does Koplik come out every week and blab about what he's discussed with whom?

I enjoy the info but it doesn't seem like the norm for the industry?

so, the radio station says snl and a tour (heard twice). then, you call the station and they say they havent heard about a tour........umm
  • Not really my thing to feed the rumor mongor, but I feel compelled. I heard recently that Pearl Jam will be the music guest on March 6th when Zach Galifianakis is hosting. The worst part about this is I cannot remember where or from whom I heard that, which makes me feel worse for posting this.

    Fuck it
  • As long as they come to Ohio, I'll be happy.

Mets--off topic, but are you going to Citi for DMB this summer? I'm toying w/the idea but have no idea how Citi would be for a concert.
