Matt leaving Pearl Jam?

I've been hearing rumors that Soundgarden is getting back togeather and will be including matt cameron.... Is this really true ?





Jack irons or Dave Abrusezze anyone ? ? :o

    Matt has not left the band. He will be joining Soundgarden for their reunion experiment, but he will not be leaving Pearl Jam. The two bands are so closely knit that their schedules will be coordinated. Matt will be a very busy man in 2010.

    If Jack Irons would replace Matt as the drumner for pearl jam?...I would be so stocked..But, I just can't see Matt leaving the band...He is in a much better situation with pearl jam...I can't see Matt leaving to go join Soundgarden full time..

    I don't think Matt will leave in the near future, but if Soundgarden decide to start making records again and be a functioning band I think he might, but it'd be completely amicable. Either that or Soundgarden will be a part time thing and he'll stay with Pearl Jam.

    Well Soundgarden was the band he first sound success with and he is an irreplaceable member of that band. While Matt is an integral member of Pearl Jam and has been for over 10 years, Pearl Jam have had many drummers. I love Matt in Pearl Jam but I'd much rather see Pearl Jam and Soundgarden BOTH touring/releasing records full time rather than scheduling around each other like they're being forced to this year.

    Dave Krusen told me that if they asked him, he'd be into filling in for Matt in PJ...but I don't think it'll happen... ;)

    Apparently SG are rehearsing, but they have many major issues to work out... :roll:

    well as of this moment Matt is not busy at all

    because there are only a handful of PJ tour dates

    as far as I can tell, he has plenty of time to do whatever the heck he wants

    I saw Matt leaving The Four Seasons Hotel in Phila. with the rest of Pearl Jam on Sat, October 31, 2009. Something bout a baseball game they were going to attend.

    Matt Cameron is an essential member of Soundgarden, but he has also become THE Pearl Jam drummer and an essential member of this band.

    I think Soundgarden's reunion will be shortlived anyway. Cornell will split them up again in a year or two.
