    My GF is an uber-mayor fan.
    But even she couldn't really make excuses for him lately.
    Yesterday we watched the youtube vid of him on stage, choking up and basically blaming the media for making him look bad. He said he was being "persecuted"...
    Then he was like "Wahhhhhhh I just want to play my guitar.."
    I have zero sympathy for this guy.
    I also think it's funny that a month ago, his comments to Rolling Stone were something to the effect of, "It's funny how some people deal with fame." Then kind of made a jab at PJ.

    Now- he's like, "I'm done with the media, they are out to get me..."

    He's definitely saying these things to get publicity.... which makes me hate him even more than I do now. He reminds me of Jon or Kate minus 8.

    same here on all counts. the trio stuff is the only thing i can stomach from him, and even then it's just a couple of songs i liked.

    he really just needs to shut the fuck up. it's like dude, you are trying way too hard to be clever and it isn't even working.

    Solidified in douchebagary...I'd be embarrassed to be a John Mayer fan right now. Just because he's a good guitar player doesn't mean he makes good music. His arrogance is out of line.

    Exactly! He seems to be living by the creed that there is no such thing as bad publicity. Since his music can't keep him in the spotlight his mouth will.

    It's a shame that he is wasting his God given guitar talent on pop songs. He really can play a mean blues guitar.

    It's on Playboy's website, I would post a link but I think it would probably be against the rules here.

    I don't know that much about the guy, but I find it hard to understand why any artist would want to share all that information in an interview anyay, it's all tabloid bull shit, and it makes him look like a complete cock.

    am i the only one who thinks he's pretty funny sometimes? i couldnt care less about him talking about some skank celebrity's sex ability or whatever he is up to.

    but i wouldnt listen to his music to save my life.
