Hot Chip - One Life Stand

If you like electronic music you gotta check this one out. Not only their best album (in my opinion that is), but also features one of the best electronic songs I've heard in a while (the title track). One Life Stand (song) is up there with Jonsi's "Boy Lilikoi" and Shearwater's "Black Eyes" for the best track I've heard this year. Other highlights for me are "Thieves In the Night" and "Hand Me Down Your Love".

    definitely not their best album, but i like it just the same! "one life stand" is my favorite off of the album so far!

    just added "in my opinion" to the part about it being their best album...your right it's certainly not a fact.

    I like it a lot different than Made In The Dark. Fav tracks: One Life Stand, Thieves In The Night, & We Have Love. I still need to get their first two albums, Warning & Coming On Strong

    sorry if that came off wrong...i think i may have also misread your original post too :oops: i have a soft spot for "the warning"...that'll always be my fav, but that didn't stop me from squealing like a little girl when we got this cd in at work...i love me some hot chip!! i'm still trying to give this album a proper listen, as my opinion is subject to change.

    haha no it didn't come off wrong at all. it just made me re-read what i wrote and when i did i realized that it was a very opinionated statement.
