Three things that have me stoked:
3--Liam Finn opening = rad
2--Klausen confirmed unique posters for each show
1--Ed Vedder for crying out loud, once in a lifetime solo tour, potential guest artists

*edit--There has been some confusion about whether or not there will be unique posters for each show. Not sure what the final verdict is but hopefully we are getting different posters per stop. If not this thread will be rendered moot--but at least we will get to catch an undoubtebly amazing EV show.

**edit--Three shows. Three different posters. Nice!

***edit--Looks like we will have two posters for the entire tour. They sold the same poster in Santa Cruz as Vancouver 2. I'll keep updating the thread--just cause--but it looks like those will be our 2 options.

Hope we get some cool posters. And by we, I certainly don't mean me, because what are the chances I end up with one?

  • Got a PM from Klausen. He confirmed that the West Seattle poster would not be the poster for the entire tour with just venue and date changes. However, he also said that he never confirmed each show would get a unique poster either. He didn't elaborate.

I see one of a few senarios:

    1. One tour poster for all scheduled dates, different design from the W. Seattle secret gig poster.

    2. A few different designs for the tour.

    3. A unique design per venue/city (6 total).

I guess we will just have to wait and see. The 3rd option would certainly be great, but my guess is option 1...

do you think posters will be tough to get at the shows? if so, how early do people line up?
  • patrickredeyespatrickredeyes Posts: 8,834
I really could care less about a poster. I just wanna enjoy these shows. :)
  • Well it looks like one poster for the entire tour. Possibly alternate colors?

I'm not thrilled by it--but as others have said, it is all about the music.

The guys behind the counter said that Vancouver's sold out in 10 minutes, but I guess that will vary with each venue.

I was thinking about it today though. Doors open at what? 6ish? if you show up at 6, and snag a poster for $25, then you're stuck there for over 2 hours drinking $6 beer. let's say you drink 4 beer. that's a total of $49, plus tip. Now, if you stay home, and have 4 beers at roughly $2 a piece, and show up at 8, you can more than afford to pay $50 on ebay. And not stress about it so much!

True. Just wish "Berkely" wasn't misspelled.

Likewise if someone wants to hook me up with one let me know.......

  • So I think I can definitively say that I don't care for this poster. None of it really works for me. I think BK kinda mailed this one in--he didn't even spell "Berkeley" correct for crying out loud.

Do we have confirmation that this is a BK print? I’d hate to be pissing on the guy and it’s not even his work.

the only thing I'll say in defense of bk, or whomever did this .... there doesn't seem that there was a lot of time to pull this off ...

It was a month and a half total between when the tour was posted and when the first show happened ...

Compare that to the 3 months lead time for the upcoming east coast tour ... which has probably been in the works for even longer.

I don't mind the poster, but BK could have at least run SpellCheck for god's sake. :)

  • Anyone have a picture of the shirt and hat from the show last night? I had a working link for the hat but it's no longer working. Pretty dope looking hat--may have to grab that instead of a poster.

    MAN!
That secret show in Seattle poster looks sweet! I guess it's kinda obvious he is in support for Barack? :D
  • I doubt there are different posters for each show. There was a huge stack for this show last night. I would say they had about 1k of them. I am guessing it will be the same poster for each stop.
