Wild storm in Melbourne

Worst storm I've ever seen.
The ceiling at my work collapsed upstairs luckily noone was hurt.
Upstairs is flooded and so is downstairs.
Probably no work tomorrow, not safe.

Thanks.
Hope we aren't required at work tomorrow
No shit you could not see more than 5 meters due to the rain, was like some fog.
Lasted for 30 mins, no wonder roof caved in, we had water dripping out of the downlights at home.
The thunder and lightning was insane, loudest bangs for over half an hour.
It is at like 95% humidity at the moment.Adelaide 17/11/2009, Melbourne 20/11/2009, Sydney 22/11/2009, Melbourne (Big Day Out Festival) 24/01/20140 -

The suburb I work was hit hard, most rain fell there.
Lightning was striking every few seconds with loud bangs/cracks at the same time.
Was pretty cool but a bit scary, lot of people looked scared at my work.
My colleague was at his desk which is next to the window and he pretty much moved away from the desk as quick as he could as a lightning bolt hit about 300 m away.
Everyone is ok, some poor lady died, lost control of her car and went into a tree.Adelaide 17/11/2009, Melbourne 20/11/2009, Sydney 22/11/2009, Melbourne (Big Day Out Festival) 24/01/20140 -

aw, that's sad. Never good when there's a massive storm. In 1991, we had this huge storm, the sky was green. We used to have this massive tree in the backyard, one of the only times I have ever seen my dad scared cause he thought it might come down on us. Storms are the pits.Sydney 11/02/2003

I love storms as long as noone is hurt or property damaged.
Nothing beats a lightning and thunder show.Adelaide 17/11/2009, Melbourne 20/11/2009, Sydney 22/11/2009, Melbourne (Big Day Out Festival) 24/01/20140 -
Oh I thought Inglis or one of the boys had been playing up...my bad! LOL
But seriously hope everyone is ok down there and don't go swimming in swollen creeks or driving across flooded roads like so many cockheads up this way seem to do.0
