This VA/DC snow is actually getting to me

I mean I'm from New York, I love the snow...but man the people down here in the Northern VA area freak out when there's only 4 inches, so you can imagine what it's like right now.
But I understand, I was trapped in my house for 3 days due to 26 inches of snow, and this morning there's another 12 inches and it's still snowing! GMU has been closed every day so far
My biggest problem is how VA prepares for a blizzard and then another foot on top of it. They did NO sanding or salting the night before...they have not plowed my street still (all of us on the street had to shovel tracks)....AND THERE IS NO ROCK SALT OR SHOVEL TO BUY IN THE WHOLE GOD DAMN STATE
We have a fort we built in our front yard, it has to be 12 feet tall at least....there's a step that gets you to the top of the fort with already premade snowballs haha
