I am not trying to start anything by posting this, but I was told they booked a date in Nashville right before SXSW and then they go to Austin and play a showcase there. I am not 100% faithful in the source, so I am just throwing it out there and see if anyone has heard anyhting.

if it is known that there is a soundgarden reunion in the works...then why would 2/4 of SG go to play with ToTD? just doesnt seem right

i could see a slim chance of this happening but only after determining the success of the soundgarden reunion. slim chance that we would get something that monumental though.

i think, and this is my own opinion, soundgarden and pearl jam will play a few shows together..so why wouldnt they play some temple of the dog shows? its not like people dont want to hear it

I agree it is likely it could happen if they play some shows together. I am hoping for Lollapalooza. If PJ and SG both play there, I can guarentee at least Hunger Strike will be played, the question is, will any full sets (1/2 hour or more) happen.

What do you expect, no one knows what the hell is going on because they never hear any news, no, sorry the band is only playing Europe and Jazz Fest till the fall, no, we are only playing those shows and that's it. I could really care less about rumors, but with out any kind of news, this is what you get.
I will say this, I NEVER in a million years would have thought that Metallica would have played at Stubbs (2,500 capacity) during SXSW, I would have made a crack pipe comment myself, but it freaking happened! I would have NEVER thought that Perry Ferrell would have come out and sing Mountain Song with Pearl Jam at a Pearl Jam concert and that happened also.
I have lived in Austin since 1994 and I can tell you one thing about SXSW, expect the unexpected, I mean Johnny Cash played at Emo's one year in front of about 200 to 300 people. All I know is I'm lucky enough to live in Austin and if it does happen, come hell or high water, I WILL BE THERE. A few years ago during SXSW at the Austin Music Awards, Ian Mclagan (The Faces) was playing with his band and Pete Townshend came out and played with him, so I've seen crazier things happen.
