Ditto (almost). The copy I have on VHS is a promo release from No Code (I think). They were given out from (if memory serves) the Sounds on Queen St if you bought No Code on the day of release. I also have the bootleg DVD (with the timer on the bottom).

Still, can't believe they didn't (or weren't allowed to?) release the full show on the official DVD. With seamless branching they could have had both.

they didn't give that shit away down here! then again no code was bought for me by someone else for my birthday... hey.. maybe THEY took it?? bastards....

i have the uncut version with the timer too but it's super shit quality. then again my original taping from the telly is probably going to wear out one day
I didn't think the bootleg one was so bad, maybe I should look at it again, I haven't watched it for years. Maybe you have the VCD sourced one? I never watch my VHS anymore, I did once dub it on to tape to listen to in my car :)

well,it's not as bad as the two tower instores from new york that i have.. those are so bad i have to have the volume cranked up all the way, but it's so many generations (i guess) that the colours ain't so great.

I remember the rumors that circulated for years after April of '94; that had Eddie been able to hang out with Kurt during the New Years taping, perhaps Kurt may not have gone down his path . . . but I digress.

I doubt it...the guy had a kid after all and still decided to kill himself...Cobain, such an idol...

So concerning the MTV Unplugged, I too think that they should have waited and do that show at a later point in their career. On the other hand, it's nice that there is a professional taping from a show that captures their energy back then.

So how about a 2011 MTV Unplugged? Of course, the public wouldn't be that interested in this...

Was not there but I have fond memories of the night it came on. I had the cool bedroom with parents who did not pay much attention. Me and my friends would always be upstairs burning Mother Nature and listening to music. PJ Unplugged, Nirvana Unplugged, REM Unplugged all very magical
A truant finds home and a wish to hold on but theres a trapdoor in the sun Over 20 shows attended, remember at least half

I have not heard this show, which is crazy to me because I remember being all about the Nirvana and Alice 'N Chains MTV Unplugged albums. Those were two CD's that got constant play from me, and yet right now I am sitting here like, "did Pearl Jam really do one of these sets too?"

Was it just not marketed like the others?

I was there I was 16 years old........fucking amazing but I still think Alice in chains unplugged was the best ever. The unplugged shows were amazing but I remember they were both long sessions a lot of breaks a lot of time between songs. Cool to be there live but better on the DVD. Pj's was cut down for MTV the only songs that aired were alive black Jeremy and porch. I believe even flow was cut because Eddie gave god the finger during the song. It was very raw. Deffinatley the reason I became obsessed with pearl jam. I was very lucky. If I remember they sang oceans alive black Jeremy even flow porch state of love and trust and rocking in the free world. I thought they did garden too but honestly I dont remember cause it was 20 something years ago

Not officially released like Nirvana and AIC until DVD came with Ten reissue super deluxe set. Bootlegs were everywhere though back in the 90s, so wasn't too hard to find a copy back then. YouTube has it all now if you don't have Ten Super Deluxe.
