I downloaded something from torrents which says it was 2.38 gig, but it was in fact 7 gig.
wtf?
There goes 1/3 of my usage in a day.

What is the normal file size for:

A season of shows let's say 12-14 episodes at 20 mins each

A movie let's say 2 hrs long

Thanks.

Each episode could be around 200 megs each, and the movie let's say a dvd rip at 4.7 so there's your ~7 gigs easy.
I'm not sure how it would be misrepresented as 2.8, however.
  • Thanks, torrent error I guess.

Another qn, so lets say 200mb per episode x 14 = 2.8 gig?
Where does the rest of it come from the dvd rip???
    What is the dvd rip?

If you rip (copy) a dvd movie onto a blank disc the outcoming size is going to be 4.7, actually 4.3 I think. Blank single layer dvds can store up to 4.7 but I think if you rip a movie (which is most likely a 9 gig dual layer dvd) it will make it 4.3 to fit on the blank disc.

    *according to zombieland it's 4.36 gigs ;)
  • Thanks ;)
