For those of you who oppose the HST in BC!

You've probably heard but Elections Canada has approved the move to create a petition in order to try and overturn the HST Legislation before it is initiated on Canada Day.
Its simple, make sure you are registered to vote and come April 6, sign the petition at www.FightHST.com.
There needs to be 300,000 signatures within 90 days.

If you don't want Campbell to continue to give large corporations all the tax breaks, and let the people carry the burden, then join the facebook groups and events, and spread the word... otherwise, There ain't gonna be no middle anymore...

We in Ontario are going to get nailed with horrible tax. I have not heard of any efforts to stop this tax. Ontario used to be a great place to live, ever since McSquinty got elected all he does is tax and spend and I'm sure more tax increases are on the way since they are running a 25 billion structural deficit. Personally I think when politicians like Campbell and McSquinty try to squeeze this shit through then they should be recalled. They both had provincial elections not that long ago and neither laid out the plan for the HST in the election platforms. Hopefully the voters wise up and vote these turds out of office. Ontario, I have little faith that will happen, Toronto will put these creeps back in. As or BC, they just may make a change.

its actually a former BC premier and a local jounalist/columnist who has started the campaign. I'm just trying to spread the word! Typically, Canadians are painfully apathetic when it comes to these things... but there seems to be a lot of dissent... so hopefully we can make some headway!!!

I agree about being apathetic, but I think that comes from the fact when we do take a stand the government does what they want anyways.
