Can't believe no one started a thread on this. If you haven't seen them live or heard the album, do yourself a favor and do so ASAP.

Only an album's worth of songs with his new band, but they're starting to change them up a little and adding some variety. The above version of Lay There And Hate Me from Letterman last night is off the hinges!

Might be my new favorite band... hope they stick together for awhile!

Agreed that version (and song in general) is awesome.

Hope Ben never goes back to the Innocent Criminals. This band is so great.
  • I missed this because I crapped out early that night but that is a killer version of that song. I'm really looking forward to what they come up with next because that album is so bad ass.
Now....if I could just find the boot of their Bonnaroo performance I would be happy....I fear it doesn't exist though
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all

When Letterman announced them before they played he showed a cd and said they were coming out with a live cd/dvd. I can't find any info about the live release. Anybody else know anything about it? :?:

Ben Harper and The Relentless 7 are kicking ass. Their album is a great piece of work. I can't wait to see these guys progress. Hope they have a long and promising run as an act together.

nothing but love for both bands, but i'd take the IC's over R7 anyday of the week. and i love the Relentless 7, i really do. but hell, as long as Ben keeps putting out music (doesn't matter who he's playing with, in my opinion), i'll be listening.

I can get on board with that. Ben and the IC's are some of the best concerts I've ever seen. I just love the R7 debut and think they have so much potential.

    Can't wait for this cd/dvd!

Does anyone else have a hard time on his revamped website? I can't seem to get anywhere on it...and for the life of me cannot find the forum.
