    no news on a tour
“I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version.”

I'd love it if he did. Got into Beck about a year ago and I haven't looked back. He is a fantastic musician, and a very creative and eclectic artist. Modern Guilt was good in my book.

Hope to hear some good news.

Don't feel too bad- I'm a huge Beck fan and the show I saw of his in October 08 was one of the worst shows I ever saw. It was an hour and 15 minutes of Beck just going through the motions and not even seeming like he wanted to be there. The whole crowd was bored by the 3rd song.

    Damn :(

That's a pretty sad thing to hear considering it's about Beck, who has always seemed to really enjoy his creative outlet.

If he has truly retired from touring, perhaps it's for good reason if he appeared to be this jaded.

No word on just "Beck", but Jeff Beck is touring!
  • Huge Beck fan. Have almost everything he's put out except maybe golden feelings and the banjo story. That being said I don't think he's all that great live. Maybe if I could see an acoustic set. Love the studio work though. He's in my top 5. :)

Never seen him, would love to though. I've always wondered if his more electronic stuff is good live.

I'd be sold if he announced a tour playing "Sea Change" from cover to cover. :D

  • I saw him during the Guero tour and I though it was one of the best shows I've seen. Tons of fun and a very cool show as far as the performance.

I had heard later on that he wasn't huge into touring because of his family but didn't know about him retiring from touring...
-one thing to remember, always have a good time, all the time
  • I thought Modern Guilt was a great record, one of his better ones.

I saw Beck @ bonnaroo in 2006. He put on a good show, but was overshadowed by the epic set radiohead played after him.
