Anticipation for some new news from the PJ camp has the natives restless and tensions heightened. While there still hasn’t been any additional band dates announced for 2010, Seattleites, at least, were glad to hear Mike McCready has two upcoming gigs benefitting the crisis in Haiti and the CCFA.
Hopefully episode #38 can help those fans jonesing for a PJ fix in some small way. This week we are exploring some of the many cover songs the band has treated us to over the years. Despite having help in song selection with some great listener suggestions, it was hard to not get carried away with so much great material to choose from. That being the case - and the fact that I got a little chatty - resulted in this being the longest podcast to date at just over 1 hour 18 minutes! Hope y'all consider this to be a good thing.

Great story! The difference from 1994 to 2010 is incredible, you still go through the same emotional stress, come up against the same obstacles - just you do it sat in front of a compute screen now, much healthier back in the day, though not on your car by the sounds of it! You really put across the feeling of entitlement all fans must have when they go after something that important and the feeling of being utterly gutted when they miss out. I had that trying to score tickets to the Dublin, Ireland show and felt like somebody had kicked my squarely in the balls when it all went tits up! I've consoled myself with London Hyde Park and Berlin tickets, not as intermit but man I can not wait!!! If you're still casting (I know you will be) come June I'll phone in a gig report or two!

It's still stressful, but that is mainly reserved for the 10C sales. Back then, I just wanted to get in the fucking building. Plus, it felt like a life and death situation after missing out the years before and waiting so long to see the band live. Yeah I'd LOVE fan reports from shows to the podcast voicemail come tour time -- great idea! And I should still be around -- no plans to quit the podcast before then...
