well I am holding out hope that both bands tour this year. the year is still young. I will go see soundgarden live. Like their music alot, and have never seen them (which is why I want to). However, I would much rather see a Pearl jam tour. Hopefully details emerge soon. Soundgarden sent an email about a week ago- (and I paraphrase) saying, "details were coming... loudest of love. Chris, Kim, Ben, and Matt" Hopefully we get info soon.

Hopefully someone talks to Mike at the upcoming Haiti benefit.

  • I think The Grunge Report gets their news from the same place as us and often picks up rumor from this forum. I'll wait till i hear something official.
  • Yeah. That sounds better.

  • As unofficial as all this is, if it is true, I assume that they're not scrapping tour dates they've already announced and sold out.

Im fine with them scrapping the tour for May/June if they do the following instead:

Europe Tour currently ends July 10,
End of July release the EP.
Kick off a US tour in August to promote the EP/Backspacer.
Open the tour at Lollapalooza...tour the U.S. Aug/Sept/Oct
End the Tour with the 20th anniversary show.
