this begs the question, how soon is too soon to start speaking ill of the dead?

  • What an insult! I'm surprised that NPR would EVER put such a hateful and ignorant person as the one mentioned here, horowitz (a real maniac), on their air. What an insult to the legacy of a man that horowitz could never measure up to, even if he lived to be a million years old...I URGE everyone to write to NPR and tell them what an insult this is.
I was alone and far away when I heard the band start playing!

...I was always a DeadHead, but when I first heard Winston Rodney, aka the Burning Spear, sing, I became a SpearHead too!
  • You can speak ill of the Dead anytime you want! Remember "if you plant ice, your gonna harvest wind", why speak ill of somebody who was a true patriot?

patriot is such a subjective term.

There may be more between these two than we all realize or are privy to, but I agree, it seems as though everyone could use a little more civility and tact in their lives. I for one wouldn't have said those things. I just listen when it comes to politics, those that speak out a lot often are met with a lot of hate, both founded and unfounded, and I get that enough in my job.
another question would be, if Horowitz had died first, would zinn have said anything negative about him?
