She's got zero energy and always looks like she just bit into a lemon. That stupid look. You guys know what I'm talking about.

or should find a job IMHO. I don't get it.
I'm from her hometown outside of Nashville and most all the people I've talked to agree -- she couldn't sing in tune if her life depended on it. She's a product of auto-tune and corporate marketing, pure and simple. But probably a sweet girl.

She's not even from Nashville, she moved there from PA. People think wow, she writes her songs supposedly and tries to sing and play guitar. But really, it's country music, which I suppose has it's moments, but really doesn't require much talent. And now that she's older you can see that she's really not that hot with no body, at least Carrie Underwood is fairly pretty now.
Meh, she's pretty and can play guitar and kinda sing but nothing to write home about. Yeah, her talent surely doesn't match her success. I liked her cover of Better than Ezra's "Breathless", if only to give them more props.

I don't know who she is or how much talent she has but she looks like she could use a tan from that picture.

She may be in the spotlight buy she's so much more different than her contemporaries such as lady gaga. She's not really an attention whore like the others and I think she promotes a pretty good message to Tweens and such.
So I don't really have anything against her...she seems like a nice girl and has pretty good morales. Unlike the rest of the sluts up there.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
Butthead: Huh huh.
we were flipping around last night & saw her sing with Stevie Nicks on the grammys. it was like listening to a child sing "Rhiannon"....she butchered it. the difference between their voices was obvious.
I can't say I really mind her all that much. Not my style of music, but at least she is a better role model than the trash that dominated the radio for the past decade.

I don't have a problem with Gaga either... She's pushing the boundaries, and is talented.
Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V
I asked for the Lady Gaga cd for Christmas. We just got a chance to listen the other night with PJ of course.
It's really good. I like her voice. Seeing her in person its a bit distracting from her talent so I enjoyed just listening.
First let me say, I am a Taylor Swift fan, and I was before she put this most recent album out which has obviously thrown her to new heights. Just throwing that out there so you can keep it mind while I say my piece.
I don't get ripping on Taylor. There are so many people in pop music who don't have the talent she has. Also, if you look into her story and all, I can pretty much guarentee no one on this entire message board, has worked anywhere near as hard to get where they are as she has. She had a dream as a little kid and worked her ass off to get to where she is. Also, she is such a positive person, and gererally speaking, has been a good role model for little girls to this point. She's not out sleeping around, doing drugs or things like that, and whether you like it or not, as I already said, she has worked really hard. People could be complaining about Miley Cyrus, who really can't sing, or bands like Nickelback, who are extremely unoriginal, or even people like Beyonce, who have amazing voices, but don't really write their own music, but here you people are picking on a girl who just turned 20 about a month and a half ago, so she was probably 18 when she wrote most of this music, about how she's not some great songwriter. She was a freaking teenager, singing about boys and breaking up, what should she be singing about? The main song we have from when Ed was young is Better Man, and that subject-matter and lyrical content isn't that advanced either, but it's still a great song.
I just think it's sad sometimes to have people wasting this negative energry on, as I said, a positive person who really hasn't done anything to warrant the offenses that some of you seem to feel she has commited against humanity and the music community.
words seem so out of place.

I have to agree with this. I don't care about Taylor Swift one way or the other (she seems like a nice enough girl) but hearing her sing with Stevie Nicks was painful.

Or perhaps you're attracted to her, and we're reading your note the wrong way?

I'm curious, what boundaries are being pushed by Lady Gaga?
I don't listen to her music, I know a few songs from just hearing them around. Her style, it's been done before.
So, I'm just wondering what you mean ... what I am missing.
