Australia Vs Pakistan last night. Shahid Afridi tampered with the ball by biting it like an apple. One of the most Bizzare things I have ever seen on the cricket field. Check it out.

For those who don't know, tampering with the ball is illegal. AS it can affect the movement of the ball in the air. So when a ball is being bowled at about 150kmph, the batsman only has a fraction of a second to play the ball. So tampering with the ball is highly illegal in this sport.

It's actually rock hard. But the outer is made of leather. So if you got hit in the wrong places, it would actually break a bone. There has been deaths caused by a fatal blow to the head (not for many years since the introduction of helmets). I myself have been bruised too many times to count. Twice in the last two weeks by catching a couple of thunderbolts. My fingers bruised and swelled instantly.
What happens is, one side of the cricket ball gets roughed up, by hitting the pitch, the bat etc. The other side, players shine, by using saliva, sweat and shining it on their pants which is legal. As the ball swings down the pitch, air gets caught on the rough side making it swing.
So natural wear and tear is allowed.
If you have time. Check out this guy it takes 12secs. One of the best. Watch the ball move in the air. And he is bowling about 140plus KmPH http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtnHBkJSA6w

Best match of the series. I do feel sorry for some of their players though, like yousuf and Kamran Akmal. He's had a terrible summer, and I have never felt as sorry for a bloke in sport as I did for him.
If he was English and in the middle of the Ashes, well Id be laying the boot in.
