I have also always believed the step-dad did it. Just because these kids don't have high IQ's doesn't make them guilty of murder. There has been NO evidence against any of the 3 boys from the beginning. These judges don't want to admit their wrongs and take any hits to their egos. Why not have DNA evidence tested? Because of the fear of the DNA pointing at someone other then the 3 boys. Thats why!!! Also, why do you think the step-dad has been so supportive of the convictions over the years??? Because he knows he's guilty and getting away with it. Thats why!!! The state would also owe the 3 boys (now men of course) millions of dollors if DNA evidence proves them not guilty.

I'm trying to figure out why the OP calls this "GOOD" news. (I had clicked expecting to read something about the jobless rate going down, or the soldiers coming home from Iraq, or PJ hitting the road.)

Do you know something about the case that many others don't? Do you know for a fact that these kids are guilty?

From what I have read about the case, there seems to be reasonable doubt. The law of the land says you can't find someone guilty as long as there is reasonable doubt about their guilt.

I also know this: Judges and policemen are far from perfect. In fact, if you've spent any time in courtrooms, you know judges can be spiteful and vindictive. Check out the Innocence Project if you think our "justice" system never makes mistakes. All it takes is one copper out to get you, and god help you. And god help you if your life is in the hands of a jury of ignoramuses. And god really help you if you are a poor person.

The courtroom scene in Idiocracy isn't far from the truth.
