What Am I Missing Here?

Everyone is going crazy for some tour dates, but there hasn't even been anything close to news of them putting a tour together released.

In fact the only actual news I've heard from them is that tour plans have been scrapped.

So why does everyone think tour news is on its way?

I say the guys have already toured the major hot spots, go take some time off and spend it with their kids and family.

    I think Boom said in a recent interview that they were touring this spring. They are also playing JazzFest so many people think it is part of a larger tour.

    For me, I have inside info that last October PJ reserved dates between May 16-23 at MSG, and would like to play between 2 and 4 shows there. For me its not speculation, at least for that venue.

    ...the only caveat I'll add to that is that there's the potential that they will cancel their hold, which happened for their MSG hold in 2006, but since the May 2010 dates were still on hold as of this January, I think this is close to being finalized.

    how do you know the insider dates at MSG are still legit and that they weren't reserved for the tour that was scrapped?

    The "scrapped" comment came on Dec 15th from a Quint Davis, the director of the Jazz festival.

    I checked 2.5 weeks after that comment, and the MSG dates were still being held.

    I've also spoken with my person since them (about other things) and they didn't mention anything about the dates being released from their hold... but there is the possibility that may have happened, and they didn't think to mention it.

    So, that's where we are at.

    Well, see it this way. Ticket's went on sale for those European '10 show's 7 month's before the band goes up on stage. That's a pretty long time to get ready & organized. So that cover's 2 month's, June & July. Ticket's went on sale December. So if there is gonna be any other played shows after Europe, ticket's would go up for sale the middle of Feb & March for those show's in August/Sept show's, right? But that's not what the rumor's are telling us. They say as early as March & April Pearl Jam will be playing Flordia & a few East Coast show's. Sweet Jebus!

    PS, I got a source too that Pearl Jam is plaining to play the Bell Centre in Montreal this October. That's what a fan told me. Take it for what it's worth. :geek:

    and if boom wasn't stoned...well even if he was ;) he did say the band was going back on tour in march which going by the way the band announces and sells it's tours, an announcement should be coming within days


    but then again, boom could be talking shit just to screw with us :P

    sounds like i'm going to have to find a guy who knows a guy who likes a girl whos related to a guy whos estranged with a guy who is a fan Boom's solo work and see what they have to say in order to get the official word.


    or i can just wait for ten club to say something
