Pearl Jam to Donate $200K to Haiti

as usual had to get the scoop from somewhere else ....
Pearl Jam have announced they are donating $200,000 to Haiti. According to the band’s Website, the funds from bandmembers and the group’s Vitalogy Foundation will benefit five aid groups.

    Lets not jump the gun, We just have to wait for the final figure, as people like me have'nt bought it yet. I reckon the final figure will be ALOT more. :D

    That's great. I wonder why more bands don't take a similar approach to that of Radiohead? Having your favorite band playing an intimate show for charity seems like it is a great way to raise money. Don't get me wrong 200K is a fantastic contribution, but raising almost 600K from one live performance is amazing. Either way props to Pearl Jam!

    what is even cooler about the whole Radiohead gig was that they halted recording their new album to play a one-off show....when they havent played a live gig in a LONG while. no warmup, nothing. that is cool. radiohead is very conscience and charity driven. (not saying PJ isnt)
