Help for a new Mac user

I have just recently purchased a new imac, and someone told me about getting a Roxio Popcorn program for transporting or burning files to dvds, but I am having trouble downloading this. Any one have some suggestions or any other programs that could be good?

    Do you want to burn movies or data? If its movies, then get Toast. If its data, the finder nativity burns to the disk.

    Mostly just burning tv shows onto to dvds.
