Oh man...You guys are going to think I am incrediblly lame...But...here it goes....

With the websites announcement about all the donations made, I thought I would let everyone know about a law that was recently passed concerning deductions of charitable contributions.

Any donations made to charities providing earthquake relief in Haiti are deductable on your 2010 OR your 2009 tax returns. To be eligible the donation must have been made after 1/11 and before 3/1.

In summary, donations made in 2010 can be deducted on your 2009 return assuming it has to do with Haitian releif efforts...

I know that was the lamest thing ever posted on this board, but I work for a CPA firm and was notified of this change, so I thought the info was relevant based on how generous this club has been. I promise to never discuss taxes again on this board.

Peace,

Bryan
