who my favorite band is, like who is my #1 of all time. so I tell him and he goes "what's your favorite pearl jam song?"
and honestly, i have not a fucking clue.
I realized that pearl jam has SO MANY songs, and each one has a totally meaning to me, equally important across all of them almost.
and I think I think of pearl jam more in terms of albums and tours than individual songs...

good one.
The songs always change. Rearviewmirror is hard to beat. Do the Evolution... Of the Girl....
I think more in terms of my favorite album. Recently Vs. has kicked my ass relentlessly, but I don't think it could over come Binaural as an all time fav.
oops forgot vitalogy... umm...immortality (live versions from 00')

that's my favorite song as well
(I get attached to diff songs depending on what's going on with me at a particular time but since I bought Yield 10 years ago.. In Hiding has been my number 1
It switches day after day.
Today it's "Brother". Tomorrow is predictably "Glorified G".
I had a job interview last year and the interviewer asked me what kind of music I listen, I answered something like "mainly rock music, especially the Seattle Scene and grunge movement" and added that Pearl Jam is my favorite band because I can relate Eddie's lyrics from the first three albums.
the rest of the interview, we talked about PJ. He said he's seen them 7 times and was on his way to see them again during that summer. I felt a bit like a noob because I've only seen them once. He's an executive manager making big dough and I was still trying to finish college.

Both of them make me feel invincible. Release does that while making me feel intensely vulnerable at the same time. it's weird.
did you get the job?

Lots of people don't have a favorite, I think.
But like said before, it changes with mood, where you are in your life etc.
I get periods when I'm into a song so much, when I discover it again, or for the first time, and it's amazing.
But In Hiding has probably been on top for a while now
it truly is a great song. I get to cry and smile when I listen to it, but all
in a positive way.

And no one makes me close my eyes
So I throw the windows wide
And call to you across the sky....
Maybe Last Kiss
