You seem to want a no-bid contract of you're proven right. ;) Is it any surprise in this continuation of perpetual war, just another consequence of wars with no end. Again the political beat goes on, it matters none who's in power.

I have no beef with Republicans mocking Obama if he steps out of line - because he's going to step out of line (he's a politician, after all)... I'd just like to know if you were equally as critical of Bush when he stepped out of line.

My father-in-law never said one bad thing about Bush during the eight years he was President, but he can't wait to insult Obama if he even coughs at an inopportune time. Therefore, I have no respect whatsoever for my father-in-laws political views.

I haven't been on this board for long, and won't be for much longer probably (thanks, Mr. Jindal!), so I don't pretend to know your thoughts on the Bush administration... I'm just asking a general question for the Obama-bashers (and for god's sake, don't use the "people were mean to Bush so we can be mean to Obama" argument - this isn't kindergarten, someone has to step up and be the bigger man lol).
And I listen for the voice inside my head... nothing. I'll do this one myself.

mmm... partying in your 20s... I miss those days. Partying in your 30s just doesn't feel like as much fun - must be because I don't drink as much as I used to lol

I voted for Gore in 2000 and Kerry in 2004. Not a fan of George Bush or Obama, to me they are the same, hence the avatar.

If I say yes you will be my friend?...if I say no you have no respect?
Why does it matter if anyone was critical of any president of the past? I wonder where this question originated because it is asked constantly? Were did you hear this?

i am not surprised by this. i think no bid contracts should be illegal, especially when it comes to tax payer money being spent. unless this company was the only one in that line of work....it sucks how each hand washes the other...

if you need a new roof, would it be wise to go with A-1 roofers since its the first one listed in the phone book or would it make sense to make several calls and get multiple bids....

i had a sewer lateral break 3 years ago in my frint yard, and because of where the break was it was paid for 80% by the city i live in, only on the condition that i got minimum 4 bids....multiple bids should be standard for all contracts in this country..

NO no bid contracts yet but we've already privatized their flour and CEMENT factories. Then shortly after doing so closed them and now Haiti has to import both products into the country. There's no way Haiti should be importing cement when most of the country is made out of limestone a key ingredient in the making of cement.
