That is a great song. I especially love the instrumentals that EV does. Is it true he plays almost all of the instruments on the album?

Backspacer creeping up on a million is nothing to sneeze at in these times. That's really impressive.

Into the Wild was a very impressive first solo album- lots of people I think who didn't know much of PJ and EV were shocked by the "troubadour folky" sound and he made new fans.

  • Dudes, remember this record? Pure fucking perfection (worthy of bumping twice in two different sub-forums!)

  • Did "Photographs' become a PJ song eventually? It has a familiarity to it, but I can't place it.

  • I would have liked it if End of the Road would have been played live by Ed but I don’t think he ever did. That’s the song I wanted the most when I saw him first in Berkeley in 2008

I have a vinyl copy of the soundtrack and just looked on ebay to see how much they were going for, like $300-ish. Of course I would never sell mine.

Indeed it is totally perfection. I wish Ed could belt out another solo album like this.

There’s a cool article in the latest Outside Magazine about the bus. It’s history, relocation and conservation. Informative, I recommend it.
  • Love the record. Story is heartbreaking. I haven’t watched the movie since the theater premiere. That ending is one of the saddest, maybe the saddest in my movie watching history.
