I just saw the lineup for ACL. Looks like they won't be coming to Texas after all.

    I think it looks awesome.
I guess it is more of a lineup for people that turn off PJ and Chris Cornell once in a while. :p
I love Silverspun Pickups, the Raconteurs, Iron and Wine, Eryka Badu, David Byrne, Gnarls is AWESOME, the Mars Volta and I am sure the others will be cool.
    Oh and Robert Plant.
    Lineup looks cool.

Foo Fighters as a headliner? NO REM, NO PJ and Robert Plant? Sorry, those of us who tune out Led Zeppelin once in awhile find that list very dissapointing.

Mars and Gnarls are cool, other than that, I would take last years Arcade Fire and Killers lead lineup anyday.

After seeing this lineup, I am so happy I got tix to palm beach and Tampa. Once again, ACL has built it up and under performed.

Oh, and I have a 3 day pass to ACL already, so I am going either way

  • my firend is in love with Conor Oberst, so she will probably end up dragging me to go see him. At least the Black Keys are there.

    I like that lineup

Wilco, MMJ, arctic monkeys, spoon, crowded house, the marleys, LCD, QOSTA

be nice with one more headliner instead of Bob Dylan
but its still a decent lineup

Rumors are what they are. Rumors.

The Bonnaroo lineup is quite freaking good man, I'm not too sure what you're smoking. If anything, the weakest is Coachella and APW by far.

EXACTLY. Open your eyes people to some other music once in a while. Then say they all suck. This is why I love roo's lineup -- it is loaded with under-the-radar talent, and plenty of great supporting acts, plus all the big names you'd expect to see in Pearl Jam, MMJ, Sigur Ros, Robert Plant, Raconteurs, BB King, etc.

i've kinda thought it over and quite like the Bonnaroo lineup now. the headliners suck (all except one!), but the rest is good.

Kinda sucks that PJ wont be playing that festival for the looks of it, unless they haven't announced it yet.. I have no idea how these festivals announce their line ups, if they add later on or not..

The line up looks good though, I love the Foo's, and Beck and I can only wish Manu Chao was playing somewhere close to me.. I would go if I was in TX.

At least ACL gets the Drive-by Truckers. :D

  • Not sure the truth to the rumor, but I heard (from a friend who heard from a friend, of course, only to make it more of a rumor) that PJ was going to play ACL, but at the last minute they backed out and FF were added instead. I'm thinking the rumored Dallas date from the Superpages.com center was simply a tentative show had PJ played ACL. Again, not sure of the truth of any of this. I just wish we knew if they even considered ACL at all, and if not, why not?

i learned to stop getting my hopes up a LOOOOOOONG time ago with PJ. they don't really tour all that often and only for short spurts (unless there's a new album). wish i wouldn't have waited til 2003 to start going to their shows, but oh well. it's nice that i have people to visit/see up in the northeast since that seems to be where the band like to play in the US the most. looking forward to a camden show in june and maybe they'll grace us with their presence again in texas. maybe not. i'm pretty indifferent to all of it now.
