Chris Cornell talks Pearl Jam
Nothing big or anything you didn't already know, but Cornell talks about seeing the first Pearl Jam show before they had a name, including some other stuff about his solo albums.

Isn't it about time Cornell tours with Pearl Jam or something?

They were kind of like a baseball team that looks great on paper but ends up in last place. I guess the chemistry just wasn't right.
Speaking of chemistry...I find the Timberland thing to be extremley shocking.
I don't understand it on any level.
Timberland is a complete a piece of shit and I pretty much hate anything and everything he has produced.
I don't know why Chirs would even consider working with him. I can't see anything that they would possibly have in common musically and on a personal level.
I feel really bad for Chirs because he is extremley talented songwriter and an awesome singer. He had so much promise with solo songs like "Seasons" and "Sunshower" but unfortunately the rest of his solo material hasn't come anywhere near that level of songwriting.
His songwriting has been really fustrating because I know he's got it in him to write amazing songs. It's not like he hasn't worked with great musicians either. Besides working with the dudes from Rage...His first solo album had Alan Johannes and Natasha Schnieder from Eleven; who are amazing musicians.
It be truly awesome if Soundgarden reunited...but I'm afraid if Matt left for Soundgarden...Pearl Jam would be finished.
I dont see Matt doing that...Why?
So Chris can dominate his new vision of Soundgarden, and when that fails he jumps ship. Dont get me wrong I've caught his solo show and it was real cool,he's a solo guy now
Nope, me neither.
And since I have only seen him as a solo act, I can say the show was good, but nothing for me to compare it to...
Wow, that's a little harsh don't you think? Timmy is a really good producer for the type of music he does. There are 4-5 songs he's produced that are amazing.

2. Cornell has indeed gone too far with the Timbaland thing
3. All of solo music, aside from his live show, isn't worth a shit.
4. Audioslave, although somewhat of a letdown, was a damn good band,
good songs and sound overall, I thought
5. Maybe Cornell and Corgan should get together and call themselves
Pumpkin Garden
They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all
thatd be sick

weiland already wasted several valuable years of his career in that mess... no reason for cornell to do the same... he went solo to have control of his music... theres no way someone with an ego like slash would allow him to

i think it is more like velvet revolver wasted several valuable years of their career on a drugged up weiland...

fair enough. i've never listened to any of their songs, actually.
And I'm Veronica Corningstone, Tits McGee is off tonight...
