I don't know mate, but I think there should be no tribute otherwise anyone who sings will fuck up the songs. The best tribute you can have is not messing with their legacy.

That would be freaking hilarious! Could you imagine going to a show and seeing Scott Stap singing PJ covers? Dude would be physically assualted for destroying something pure and good. By me.

One of my life goals is to get EV to autograph a photo of Scott Stapp.

...similar to the photo of Sean Connery signed by Roger Moore.

That would be priceless! You'd have to catch him in a good mood because without humor that request could seem like a slap in the face. The request itself would have to be well versed.

    Damn...great idea.

    U aren't crazy - your a bloody daffodil!!!!

where's Katt - she should ban you for a total of 30 seconds (cause that is how long it would take me to get to the front row, over the barriers and helped to the stage by security to push Scotti Stapp off the stage and just take over the whole show)

I agree... ban this bloke for a while for even suggesting that wannabe tool as comparison. I hate the stances, the faces, the voice... grates on me!

I'm not playing along with this thread, but if you wanna hear a good voice that is in a similar vein to EV's, check out The White Buffalo... truly amazing! "Love Song #1" is one of the most honest and beautiful songs ever!

I've seen alot of PJ tribute bands when they play locally, and alot of those dudes butcher Ed's voice....Stap would fit in nice as a TRIBUTE in the highest regard and with the utmost respect...

    ban this man!

Stap sounds like he is doing a comical imitation of Vedder, and a poor one at that. fucking atrocious. Him and all the other shitty clones do nothing but a disservice to Pearl Jam.

But isn't he already in a "tribute" band? At least a band who "tributes" to Ten and Vs and then stops there
