Watched SINGLES last night

horrible
I remember watching it when I was 15 or so the first time and didn't like it then
the soundtrack is great and seeing pigvomit make out with a random chick was funny
but the movie is only 2 stars
That would be a great soundtrack to have on vinyl

    arghhh what's wrong with you!?
    It's a great movie - I drag it out once every so often and replay it. Good to watch if you're hungover and can't do much else. :?

    honestly it is the main male characters voice - like nails on a chalk board - especially at shows in the movie or when he is in the bathroom on the phone cause he has to yell with that voice... aaarrrgggg yuck

    I made my wife watch it - and she doesn't know about the movie so I was like "babe, who sings this" and she was like "is that breath and a scream" (her favorite song) and I said "yeah"
    then it got to the Ed speaking part and she was like "Is that Eddie... is that Stone? Is that why we are sitting through this horrible movie so we can see THEM?!?!?!"

    So I lied I watch more than half last night and finished the rest this morning

    Ah...Coffee, Traffic/Mass Transit, and Music - three issues that are as relevant now in Seattle as they were back then...I love that movie!

    i too made the other half sit through it and to see if she was really watching it and to see if she was paying attention to the guy playing drums behind matt dillon. she didn't. made me rewind it. didn't believe me. skipped to credits. fin.
    average film, great soundtrack, story of the 90's.

    The movie is funny at times and has some good dialogue, but still didnt think it was a film worth watching. The soundtrack is world class though!

    Matt Dillon is great and I like all the Seattle cameos that pop up throughout the movie

    I usually watch bits and pieces twice a year
    Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of

    Couldn't disagree more. I've probably seen it about 5-10 times. The music is great and the casting is spot on. "A complement for us is a complement for you."

    I just got the soundtrack on vinyl yesterday and was spinning the black circle last night...but yeah the movie is hard to watch.

    Sorry, I am a "Singles" fan through and through. But it is definitley a movie that either you get it or you don't...I just purchased my second copy of the dvd (wore out my original vhs, 1st got displaced in a house move), have the soundtrack on cd, love it love it love it. One of my fav movies of all time!
    BUt hey I don't get matrix movies...I fall asleep everytime I have attempted to watch the first one (within the first 15mins everytime), so you probably think I am wierd...not that you'd be far off thought!!! :lol:

    I think it's a great movie, it's a milestone of the 90's, like High Fidelity! (great Jack Black!) :D

    Great part in the movie when Matt Dillon installs speakers in Brigdet Fondas car.
    Chris Cornell comes over to admire the speakers. All the windows smash. Classic!!
