Advice on selling vinyl

Hello all, long time fan and reader, first time poster. I have a sealed mint condition Benaroya Hall vinyl set that I am thinking about selling, and was wondering what would be the best way for me to go about doing it. Basically, the time has come for me to buy the girlfriend a ring, and I could use the extra funds to go towards something she deserves. I've thought about eBay, but I've never sold anything on it before and to be honest I'm a little intimidated by it. Is selling it through this message board a possibility? Any advice you guys have would be greatly appreciated!

    For starters, have a price in mind and post it. Don't ask for offers or you will get a flood of $50-$60 offers. There are many on here who want this vinyl and would expect you to let it go for the original price it went for in 2004. Set a price, field offers, and accept the best one. You could check ebay for current value but I can tell you a sealed Benny Hall is in the $600 range on ebay. I would make you an offer now but I have one that I enjoy from time to time with a nice bottle of wine. Good luck and I hope this helped.

    ebay and paypal fees really get ya. I just dished out over 45.00 to ebay for selling a Dave Matthews and Tool album. Not to mention shipping. another 30.00. And I think paypal charges me as well. Barely made 350.00. I'm thinking about using craigslist to get rid of the rest of my throw away shit.

    Ebay is like the black smoke monster - all you can do is run away fast
    Use craiglist - sure it's like communicating with the Others a bit but usually as long as everyone is honest it all works out
    Don't leave the Island - we are all one tribe and if you want to sell it for $200 or $400 or $600 just post that and wait for the offers

    cantkeepmehere, looks like you and I will be doing the same thing on the evening of February 2nd! Very sad to see the show end, but I'm excited about this coming season!

    I appreciate all of the feedback you all have given me. This is my first time trying to sell anything online, so the advice has been very helpful. It looks like the best way for me to sell would be through the message board, I've already received some pretty generous offers. I'm at work now, when I get home later I'll try to post some pics of the album. I have a pretty good idea of what a sealed Benny Hall has sold for in the past. I don't feel comfortable putting an asking price up without pics to go along with it.
