yeah I was wondering the same. The lineup doesn't really appeal to me. I'm not a big fan of any of the headliners and really only them crooked vultures, mgmt, and the dead weather stood out for me.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

"Oh, and what about those question marks on Sunday's text in the concert poster below? No, that isn't saving a spot for a Smiths reunion or U2 debut on the Coachella stage, it's the way that Yorke presents himself as a solo star, the marquee at his Orpheum concert had the same punctuational flourish."

Some good bands on the lineup this year. Gorillaz I think would be really cool to see, plus PiL & the Specials.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

Apparently Thom Yorke likes to bill himself as that in order to be unique.

I'd put it in the middle of Coachella's, though. I really, really like Muse/Gorillaz as headliners - newer bands that haven't played every other festival and not really many people have seen and are still in their prime. Other than that, I'd really like to see Orbital, Sly & Family Stone, TCV, Pavement, Dead Weather, and Faith No More. Other than that, nothing really too special - most of the other acts will be touring and playing most festivals, so nothing truly unique that I can't get anywhere else (MGMT, Vampire Weekend, etc.).

The lineup doesn't appeal to me at all. Not saying I think it stinks, but I don't listen to most of those bands especially the headliners. Is this festival for a younger crowd?

I am excited about Gorillaz because I assume they will do a huge multi-media show.

    Also of interest:

    PIL
    The Specials
    Echo/Bunnymen
    DEVO
    Pavement
    MGMT
    Cribs with J. Marr
    De Le Soul
    LCD Soundsystem
Gary Numan (he was great with NIN)
    John Waters

I bet Sly/Family Stone will headline the second stage so that he won't screw up the schedule when he cancels!

Far better than it's been the past two years ... but, still a far cry from the glory days.

    2004 was the pinnacle.

I'm waiting anxiously for Faith No More's San Fran concert announcement.

I'd like to go to the festival, only it's so damn expensive.

Decent line-up I live too far away, but Gorillaz would be interesting to see them. They toured in '02(?) I should have gone to the concert in philly at the Electric Factory, but didn't. :( My one buddy wen and said they were amazing.

Would also be cool to see TCV, Faith No More, Dead Weather, Hot Chip, Thom Yorke ??? Muse, Julian Casablancas, MGMT, Spoon, Vampire Weekend, Passion Pit, Big Pink, & a few others.

FAITH....NO.....MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fuck yes, this is the day i've been waiting for, their return to U.S soil. I was at their last U.S. show in Seattle 1997. A long ass 13 years but this tour will be worth it!

Sorry, I have to step in here...

Thom Yorke isn't billing himself as that to be 'unique' or something. It's not just him up there on the stage. On his recent set of shows at the Orpheum, he performed w/ Flea, Waronker, Godrich, & Refosco. The billboards were just billed with ????? since the band had no real name since they were only going to do two shows. This additional show still has no real name, but they can't exactly throw five question marks up on a line-up and expect people to know what it is...ergo Thom Yorke + 4 question marks.

To anyone who is going, do not miss Porcupine Tree on the second day. Amazing band. I've seen them 4 times and each time they were incredible.
