I just heard some country chick singing some country version of "Use Somebody" on some country station that my country boss listens to (if he gets in before me, that is). I thought KOL had sold out. But now I am hoping that this is somehow involved in the Haitian releif effort or some other cause. Maybe that is why "The End" is on a tv show. Could be, right? I know I would feel better about it.

    That was Sugarland. The singer is Jennifer Nettles as seen on the Kennedy Center honors singing with Ben Harper. The have a live cd/DVD set out that includes the KOL covers as well as... Wait for it... Betterman by our very own favorite band.

    Any band can re-record another band's music, without their permission. As long as it is a song that has been commercially released.

    This means Creed could put Release on an album (dear god, I hope they don't read this forum).

    ...just like EV recorded Hard Sun, and from what I've been reading on here, has been getting sued... though it's legal.
